Catch Up

I can't believe it's been so long since I updated. I attribute that to getting on instagram and now my focus is on that. But I still want to keep this blog up (if I can) so here goes.

We had friends over one Saturday night. We all played outside, enjoyed rootbeer floats, and ran in the bubbles. Preston spilled rootbeer all over himself so he's sporting the diaper look.

I took my babies to walk around the Gilbert temple. Unfortunately it was closed for deep cleaning so we couldn't get in the gates. But they didn't really mind.
This is Preston's "surprised" face. Pretty convincing huh?
My little lady friend turned 11 months old too. She's trying out some leg warmers here. She's a doll. And I love that she's getting a little more personality and attitude. She knows when she wants something and lets you know how she feels if you take it from her.
And Olivia went 10.5 months without any sign of a tooth and then poor thing got three teeth in three weeks. Wow. Yet through it all, no fever, no fussiness, no nothing.

My Boy

Since it was way too hot to take Preston's yearly photos in July around his birthday, here are his 2.5-year pictures. He loves saying "cheese" and giving huge smiles. He is so curious (which translates into destructive and naughty) but we adore him. He loves fruit snacks more than anyone I've ever met. He loves doing things independently and can always be heard saying, "me do it my sels." He loves going on dates with daddy. He loves his green blanket. He loves milk. He is a spunky, adorable, talkative boy and we are so lucky to have him in our family.

5-Year Photo Shoot

Grant turned 5 years old and I had to capture his age with a quick photo shoot while the babies were both asleep. Grant loves bikes, preschool, bungee cords, butter, Planes 2, playing with friends at the park, stuffed-crust pizza, and being goofy. He keeps our life exciting!

9 Months

Olivia's Stats:
Height: 29.5 in. (97%) (I'm not sure this was accurate)
Weight: 19 lb. 1 oz. (64%)
Head: 18.25 in. ( 96%)

Our angel girl is nine months old already. Her hair is filling in and getting longer. Her giggle is contagious. Her brothers love to be silly and make her laugh. Her hands reach for everything. Her mouth loves baby food (especially homemade baby food). Her smile brightens our days. Her mouth is still void of teeth (yay!). Her hobbies are sitting up or rolling around (no sign of crawling). Her personality is precious!!

Construction 101

Grant turned 5 years old on January 1st. He chose to have a construction themed birthday this year. We had fun decorating and making it special for him. He had a family party on the 1st and his first-ever friend party on the 3rd. He had fun spending time with everyone!

Grant is such a good big brother. He adores his little sissy and sets a good example for his little brother. Grant loves to count, sort, craft, play, race, and ride. He loves preschool and was bummed to find out that Christmas break meant no preschool. He loves being goofy and funny and tries to come up with his own jokes to make us laugh. He is smart and sweet and still asks me to cuddle or hold his hand when he is scared. Grant gets worried about important issues and cares deeply about people. Last month he got out of bed at night and came to me worried and said, "When we die are we really going to be together forever?" We went to his 5-year well-visit today and he has grown like crazy!

Weight: 42 lb. 10 oz. (60%)
Height: 46.25 inches (96%)

My baby is growing up so fast. I love you to the moon and back little Grant!!

Christmas 2014

Christmas was tough because all three kids were sick. It broke my heart to see them coughing all day, needing breathing treatments, having fevers, and fussing. But we tried to make the best of it. The children were still excited and you can just see the magic of Christmas as you look into their eyes. This was Olivia's first Christmas! It was also our first time to have Uncle Dave stay over Christmas eve and hang out with us. We need to do that every year!

December at a Glance

What a fun and busy month December was. Here's just a glimpse of the things we did.

Visiting Santa at Bass Pro Shop only to realize he didn't come in for another 3 hours that day. I sat Preston on Santa's chair and took a picture anyways.

Snuggling in mommy's bed

Pizza picnic dinner at the temple before seeing the Christmas lights

Olivia's first visit to the temple lights

All three kids on the swings together for the first time

We bought a new car--a 2009 Toyota Camry

Visiting Santa at our very own neighborhood park

Having family pizza night where everyone made their own pizza

Enjoying the light brite at the idea museum

Visiting the temple again to see all the nativity sets in the visitor's center

All ready for church

This is our version of a "Christmas Sunday Family Photo"

...and here's the other half of the family
